The animation is relatively basic, its mostly used for still pictures. Although the latest version, Poser 5, does have dynamic soft-body features, its mostly used for drapery, eg hair, clothes. Soft-body dynamics are only available in Blender via a script and there are very few examples because almost nobody can use it for anything much.

The Daz/Poser objects are basically props, many come with built-in and swapable motions, textures, morph variations, etc. In Blender you get to do it all by yourself Its basically the same difference between Windows and Linux.
