but stored in list of persistency is strange 001A0001 i think not exist. Yor CIC is retroift and activated by script? CiC is from Factory, 2009 France I made a mistake: /mnt/HBpersistence (then copied by CiC in the others files) You are right I have but don't use the remote Climat option, is it that? @Shawnsheridan also retrofitted Keyless, but nothing to do with that. PS: 001A0001 exits, see in the Let's Hack the CiC there.
Ok thanks for explanation, I only script activated the Voice recognition (00170001.swt) and all is running well. @Shawnsheridan: it is said that this doesn't alter the others official Fsc like Sirius Satellite, didn't test it as in Europe we don't have this option, Anyway, thanks! Perhaps it is possible to have it mixed, with Script Activation for Nav and Voice, and FSC Codes for Sat Radio and BMW Apps, but if that is case, given the cost of those two FSC Codes, a cheap $79 Emulator remains a better option.
In my opinion, Script Activation is only useful for early F1x and F25 cars where Activation is over the MOST bus, and Emulator is very hard to find and very expensive (around $450 USD) if you can find one.
So post install of my CIC retrofit I fancy updating the 2010 maps to 2014. Now I have problem I'm not sure which VIN code to use to generate the FSC code needed to activate the navigation. The CIC unit is wired in with a hardware emulator which I think (could be very wrong) fools the CIC unit into thinking my cars VIN is the same as the VIN stored in the CIC unit. I've managed to pull the VIN from the CIC unit, and pretty sure its the right VIN code from the donor car. Looking up the VIN code online it looks like the donor car was fully loaded, and as expected had Combox installed, since pre-coding to my car the CIC unit was displaying all the BMW apps/online stuff associated with a Combox. So I presume I need to use the VIN code from the CIC unit (ie: NOT my own VIN code) to generate the needed FSC code to enable map upgrading Any help really appreciated!!!
